From the FieldWhen I met Julie, the tugging in my heart stopped. The beating drum in my heart stopped. I knew I was where I needed to be. I knew I was on the right path. Having a small amount deducted from my bank account each month so Julie can eat, have medical treatment and a roof over heard head was good but meeting her was something else entirely. Children without parents need more than basic needs. They need love. Seeing where my donation was going also made me feel as though it was not enough. Those children have so many needs. Meeting Julie and all the children AOTK serves in Haiti changed me. |
